Pay Range: $17.50hr - $23.00hr Job Overview: The Patient Services Representative II represents the face of the organization to patients seeking health routine care or insights into life-defining health decisions. The candidate draws quality blood samples from patients and prepares those specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures. The candidate has direct contact with patients and creates an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures and drawing blood specimens in a skillful, safe, and accurate manner. The candidate will demonstrate leadership behaviors while focusing on process excellence, confidentiality, and accurate patient information. Successful applicants may be assigned to a doctor's office, a patient service center, or as business needs dictate.
Responsibilities: - Perform daily activities accurately and on time under the direction of the area supervisor.
- Maintain a safe and professional environment.
- Perform both forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties with confidence following established practices and procedures.
- Perform verification of patient demographic information and initials, including securing patient signature post-venipuncture to verify tubes were labeled in their presence and that the name on the label is correct.
- Maintain required records and documentation.
- Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public in general.

- Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision.
- Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
- Flexible and available based on staffing needs, which includes weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime.
- Committed to all policies and procedures, including the organization's dress code, employee health and safety, and core operating principles.
- Ability to make decisions based on established procedures and exercise good judgment.
- Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and a clean driving record, if applicable.
- Ability to travel and work flexible hours across multiple locations, with availability to cover patient service centers or in-office phlebotomy locations on short notice.
- Capable of handling multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.
- Demonstrate superior customer focus, open and transparent communication skills, and the ability to embrace organizational changes.
Required Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Medical training, such as medical assistant or paramedic training, is preferred. Phlebotomy certification is preferred, and is required for roles in California, Nevada, and Washington.
Work Experience: Three years of phlebotomy experience is required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Patient Service Center environment is preferred. Customer service experience in a retail or service environment and keyboarding/data entry experience are preferred.
